YouthBank Tower Hamlets is part of a national network called YouthBank UK. We were one of the first pilot YouthBanks set up in 1999, since then the network has grown tremendously!

NEWS FLASH!

YouthBank Tower Hamlets would like to hear from highly motivated young people aged between 14-24 years who live, work or study in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

YouthBank is an innovative grant program for young people aged 14-24 years. We give grants to young people to support activities or events which benefit the local community.

We are offering an opportunity for 16 young people to take part in a youth-led project for 12 months between April 2009 and April 2010.

During the year, you will be involved in a range of training opportunities including a AQA level one qualification in Grant-Making, digital media/radiopresenting training, employment skills training and two local events.

This is a fun and exciting opportunity for the young people of Tower Hamlets to improve their skills of debate, communication and decision making while working in a team environment.

It’s a great chance to meet new people, participate in regular outings and events and go on residentials. Through being given insight and networking opportunities with international corporations, by the end of the year, our panel members should have acquired a range of essential skills that will help prepare for the world of work.
